Dearest Jennella, Adele, Christofer, and family, We are completely saddened to hear the passing of Chris. Adele, it was so brave of you to call us and share this news. Sending strength, love and light to all of you. Chris is so admired by us. He has accomplished much, and together with Jennella. Interesting, humble, intelligent, laughing, and loving are just a few words that come to mind when we think of Chris. You are woven into our hearts and we continue to remember so many good times together. Many years of toasts, food, shared stories in common about beautiful and beloved Guyana to Trinidad, India, Uganda, Malawi, and Canada, world news, politics, work, sports, and most of all, FAMILY. Chris’ face lighting up when we walk into the family home, and especially when he talks about his pride and joy Adele, Christofer and just loved grandkids is etched in our minds. It‘s easy to see that he loves his family and friends beyond and we know that he’s looking down on you for happiness in your lives. We are always here no matter the distance and giving you big hugs from Goa at this difficult time. Lots of love from Suru, Pravina, Vini, Sonia, Lyall, Jamie, Devin, Reva, Krish, Kya and Popat Family.

To the Bereaved Family of Dr Balram. It is with a heavy heart that I extend my sincere condolences to the immediate family of my dear chacha (Dr Balram), his loving Brothers and his ever loving sister, aunty Ved. Our chacha was a man of tremendous loving qualities and after he migrated to Canada, he rose to stardom and made us all proud of his achievements. He was a true son of Esau & Jacob, Mahaicony Creek and he made his parents extremely proud of his life's achievements. He dedicated his life to serving humanity and we are all so indebted to his service as a simple Brahmin child. I grew up along with my chacha (same age) in the Mahaicony creek area and on behalf of my parents, Mr & Mrs Jotish Persaud (Buddy Jut), we all extend our love and sympathy to the family. I hope and pray that where ever my chacha.s Soul may be, may that Soul find Peace and Solace. We love you dear chacha and from home here New York, we bid our farewell to you. Love you. Dear Genella and Family, We were saddened to read of your dear husband's death. We remember you from Church and from the Zuidhofs on Stanley St. I emailed the Zuidhofs of Dr. Balram's death but you had already contacted them. Many people from the Church phoned or wrote me yesterday to let me know about his death. I am so sorry for you and the whole family, Genella, but know that God is with you with His comforting arms around all of you at this time of grief. Make sure to grieve in your own way and time. Each one of us is different in the way we grieve. I was interested to learn that Dr. Balram was from Guyana as my Mother was a missionary to British Guyana many, many years ago and fell in love with it. She was there for 3 years. I remember went uncle Chris was in Trinidad we all went to Mayaro on our way back home uncle Chris brought crab to make soup boys I never eat crab soul. Uncle Chris said in Guyana they use to make crab soul ,oh he did make the crab soup and boys it was delicious. Rest in peace uncle Chris.

Chris and I retired about the same a number of years ago and spent much of that time on the golf course in New Brunswick and occasionally in PEI. We had many laughs, a few arguments and unending debates about the game, politics and life in general. It was always clear to me that while golf was Chris's passion his family was his life. Rest easy my friend, I know that if there is a golf course somewhere out there you will find it and try and break 80.
