Obituary of Neil McKay

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Neil McKay, 86, of Fredericton, N.B., on Sunday, June 25th, 2023. Neil is survived by his wife Vivian and two children, Sharon Pynn (Joseph) of Oromocto N.B. and Dan McKay (Jennifer) of San Jose, California. In addition, he leaves behind grandchildren, Ben Mabey (Sandy), Kaitlyn Godin (Marcel), Ethan and Audry McKay; great-grandchildren, Mason and Xander Mabey and Grayson and Mia Godin; brother, Gordon McKay (Jane); and sister-in-law, Janice Lank.

A loving husband of 63 years and devoted father, he lived as an amazing role model of values, selfless giving and a commitment to hard work.

Born in Saint John, N.B., he was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Mildred (Gray) McKay, and his brother, Charles Parker.

A memorial service will be held at Skyline Acres Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 2pm with Rev. Karl Csaszar officiating. For those who wish, donations in Neil’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
