Diane was my mother’s regular extra mural nurse in 2001, and facilitated her palliative care at home, throughout her last year. Diane’s knowledge, compassion, professionalism and empathy made a difficult journey as meaningful for us and as comfortable for my mother as humanly possible. She always put a smile on Mum’s face, was an expert diagnostician during every bump in the road, had all the time to talk with and explain what we the family could expect at every turn, and was perceptive and holistic in her approach. All these years later I have never forgotten her, nor her invaluable assistance during my mothers final year. May she rest in peace.
