My thoughts are with all those who were lucky enough to have met Kim. I had the pleasure of working with Kim at LECS. When I found out I was having my first child, Kim took it upon herself to knit my son a beautiful blanket to match his nursery. It will be a treasured piece.

It is so very sad to learn of Kimberly's passing. In 1988, at just 19, Kimberly responded to a newspaper ad, boldly leaving her home in New Brunswick to become a nanny for our sons, Jeremy (age 5) and newborn Kelly, just outside of London, Ontario. Living with us for several years, it became evident that Kimberly possessed a heart of gold. She went above and beyond, caring not only for our children but for all of us. Kimberly was so loving and giving – treating the boys like her own - that she quickly became an integral part of our family.
When we relocated to Toronto, she came along, despite missing her family in the East. Without even knowing the city, she negotiated the subways, buses and street cars with a map, a stroller, knapsack full of treats, a toddler and a 6 yr. old and sometimes a dog - travelling to parks, the zoo and other far reaches of the city. There was no doubt that in her care they were safe, loved and happy. On many evenings, despite her busy days with young children, when I came home from work, she was also there for me. We would chat about our days and she’d insist on giving me the best foot massage ever - a skill she acquired through a night class in massage.
Kimberly left a huge hole in our lives when she decided to return to New Brunswick to be with her family; yet she never forgot about us. Despite the distance she made a conscious effort to stay connected and keep up with 'the news of her boys” over the years. Periodic visits to Ontario with Lisa and her family allowed us to catch up. It was clear that she was still the same girl I knew when she was 19— dedicated to caring for others. And yes, she still insisted on showcasing her skills as the ultimate foot massager!
Through the years, despite facing her own challenges, Kimberly demonstrated unwavering devotion to those close to her. Her heart was tender, always wide open, embracing those she cared about with love and warmth. Kimberly, I’m certain you touched many lives and will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to know you and feel your genuine kindness. May you rest in peace and continue to watch over us all. I can only hope we meet again.

Every month at the Community Breakfast in Maugerville, Kim`s face was usually the first one I saw when I arrived. And she`d be that last person I saw when I left. She would always give me a smile, and a "Good Morning Cindi!" as I came in the door. And she knew I`d be over shortly to get a square for the 50/50 draw. I missed her when she`d be away on vacation, and I will sorely miss her now. My deepest condolences go out to all her family.

I was totally shocked to read of Kim sudden passing. Classroom I spoke to her was that guild, and she was wearing about getting enough things for her Christmas donations. Over the years she and I talked a number of times and I know she worried about a lot of the kids in her class and how they were making out. Such a kind ,gentle soul; may she rest in peace. My sincere condolences to family, especially Sandra, it's going to be such a change for her mom more than anyone else. We will all miss her soft, gentle voice and her sweet smile
