We were sorry to hear of Mary's passing. We were neighbours in Barker's Point for a long time and our Grandmother, Gertrude Flowers, was a frequent visitor next door to visit with Aunt Lil.
Mary was a good friend to our sister Joyce Frost (Flowers) while they were both at Neill Hall over the past several months. I know Joyce enjoyed spending time with Mary- sharing stories and reminiscing about our families. As cousins, they were so close in age and knew each other from the time they were children. Mary was supportive to the family sitting with Joyce during her final days and we greatly appreciated that.

In my early days at NB Power I had the pleasure of working beside Mary for a time. She was helpful to me and I appreciated her advice . . . I remember her love for the Royal Family and that fried cheese was one of her favourite treats. RIP

Mary enjoyed nature and loved watching her feathered friends who visited her many bird feeders daily. She reminised of growing up, she loved the many family pets and was glad to share stories of by gone days.....Mary was a wealth of knowledge and could chat and give an opinion on almost any subject that came up on news media. We are happy to have known Mary ...and count her a friend.
