Obituary of Mary Isabelle Bailey

 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Isabelle (West) Bailey on January 12, 2024, at Shannex, Neill Hall. Born on October 6, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Lily (Woolley) and W. Frederick West.

Mary is survived by daughter, Mindy (Bradley) Crawford; grandchildren, Justin, Melina and Brandon; two great grandsons, Isaiah and Asher;  several nieces.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Derek; grandson, Gregory Nicholas Crawford; brothers, Billie and Jim; sisters, Rebecca, Gertrude, Geraldine and Amelia; husband, Ronald W. Bailey.

Mary was proud to be a graduate of the 1953 academic class of Fredericton High School and a graduate of the 1954 Special Commercial Class.  She was a dedicated employee of NB Power for many years.  She was a member of the Church of England-St. Mary’s Parish Church. Mary loved “The Royal Family”.  She loved all animals and birds.  A staunch hockey fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, “Go Leafs Go!”.

The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 780, McEvoy Street, Fredericton, Rev. Nicholas J. Saulnier will officiate.  Spring interment will take place at Sunny Bank Cemetery, at a later date.  Mary has asked that any donations in her memory be made to the Diabetes Association, SPCA or St. Mary’s Anglican Church Building Fund.
