Dear Merva and Family, we were sad to hear the news of Stan’s passing. We had so hoped to connect with you and your siblings on our recent trip back east. We remember fondly you and Stan meeting us at the Fredericton Airport around 5:30 pm to say hello and good bye to us as we were not able to connect during our visit some 20 yrs ago. We would like to offer you and all your family our sincere condolences for the loss of this wonderful man.

Mary and I are very saddened to receive an email from Ivan informing us of Stan’s passing. I had been thinking of you two, after Ivan and Yvonne’s visit, and thought it would be nice to make a short visit to Deer Island this summer.
Again, very sorry!

In the early 1970s, my former wife and I enrolled in a boat building course at Oromocto High School, with Stan Richardson as teacher.
We worked on the boat with Stan’s guidance for the full year, and then it wasn’t finished. Stan allowed us to leave it at the school for the summer, and we resumed it the next year.
At the end of the next year, it still wasn’t finished, so we moved it into our living room for a time.
Later it was moved to a garage of a friend. And finally it was given as a gift to a more energetic person who undertook to finish it.
Memories of Stan Richardson.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Merva and the rest of the family. I got to know Stan and Merva when I was going to Smythe Street Church throughout my time at UNB. I’ll always remember his stories of the outdoors and we’d bond about knowing where northwestern Ontario was. His life lessons while having lunch at the Ramada will be something I’ll cherish. Stan and Merva made me feel like I was In the right place at the right time and I am forever grateful for their friendship. Keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

Dear Mrs. Richardson, Tammi, Tony and Family,
My sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Richardson. I have such wonderful childhood memories spent at your home. Mr. Richardson, and all of you, were such wonderful neighbours growing up and are part of the fabric of my life. No visit back home has ever been complete without driving through the ole neighbourhood and driving past your home, and when my timing was right, stopping in to say hello. Mr. Richardson will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May your memories bring you comfort and peace in the days and weeks ahead.
God bless,
Wendy Sabean
