It's hard to know where to start since Gwen and I go back to junior high. I asked my kids, who have grown up in Ontario, if they remember meeting Georgie. They didn't hesitate - "the lady with the pop fridge". I couldn't help but smile because I have that same memory from when I was young - showing up at the house and being told to open the door and pick something. Then so many memories started coming back. The sleepovers, the desserts (she gave me my first brown sugar pie), the bowling. She was so strong and full of life. I think her independence resonated with me the most, and may have even helped shape the adult I turned out to be. As all these memories come flooding back, two things stand out: (1) Georgie was an amazing woman. While her loss will be felt deeply, her impact on the people around her is even greater, and (2) it's incredible how many memories a refrigerator can hold.

Gary: I remember your mom as being welcoming to me during our teenage years when you and I hung out together. It was through seeing she and your dad at church in New Maryland years later that you and I reconnected, and I’m happy we did. Condolences to you, your dad, Ken,Gwen and all of your family.

The faith community of Saints John and Paul Parish is heart broken to hear of the passing of Georgina. Approximately a half century ago the Jones family joined in the formation of our new parish. Gwyn and Georgina were always present to serve in some capacity. We will miss Georgina’s feistiness and dedication but we are comforted in knowing that she is now in the Presence of her beloved Creator. Blessings to Gwyn and family, Phil and Mary Lou Foreman

When I think of Georgina my first thoughts are about how feisty and passionate she was.She was loyal to her very core.When she set her mind to a goal she would definitely accomplish it.She was a hard worker and actively involved in any organization that she supported.God bless her and grant her eternal peace.
