I worked closely with Ben and ALWAYS admired his calm and gentle manner. Everyone respected and appreciated his genuine and caring approach to his work. He was funny too and could bring sensible perspective to any situation. I feel very saddened by his passing. He made the world of social work a much better place to be. Safe journey Ben Brenda

We were always impressed by his gentle kindness and steadfast support of Jody, as well as reputed dedication to his work clients. We trust he left a positive mark on this world, and inspiration for Jody and the rest of us. Sincerely, Rowlie Phillips & Marnie Jacobsen.

Something told me to read this obituary, now i know why. I am very sorry to read of your lost. A lot of people always say it gets better with time, you just learn to cope better. The memories you have will bring you closer to him every day , whether it puts a tear in your eye, or a smile on your face it is a memory you have that no one can take away. Stay strong pretty lady and watch for those signs, of a dime, a butterfly a bird or a dragonfly, you will know the sign that he is with you. See you soon Jody

So sorry to hear of Ben's passing. I worked with Ben in the Fredericton office of Social Development, and what I remember most about Ben is his kindness. We were both involved with the same family at one time, and he was so understanding, patient and warm to them (even though I thought they were incredibly difficult!). In turn, this family respected Ben and they had a really positive relationship (and kids were safe!). Ben was able to see the good in people and find the positives. He was a person who really made a difference in the lives of others. I was so impressed in his dedication to being a social worker, despite his health challenges over the past few years. I trust he's at peace now. Sending you strength in all the days ahead.

I never got to thank you guys for involving me in your family a lot of the time. Thank you. My heart felt condolences. Dave
