Thinking of you in this time of sorrow. We had Dr Lewis as a vet while we lived by the clinic, and loved her. One time when our beloved Jack as very sick, Shannon took him home with her to keep close watch and look after him, rather than leaving at the vet kennel. That meant so much to us, she had a big heart. She will be missed by many.

When our cat Joel was ill, she stayed at the clinic all night with him so she could keep an eye on him. She was also our Stanley's acupuncturist and though he did not enjoy going to the vet, he relaxed in her presence. Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your loss.

Dear Linda As I read my newspaper today with a heavy heart I see your sweet daughter Dr.Shannon Lewis has passed away unexpectedly. I remember her as a little girl with a love for all animals. Shannon is resting...sweetly resting safe and on the way to her heavenly home where she can reunite with family members and friends who have gone before her. Dear family and friends of Dr. Shannon Lewis, Dr. Shannon was a lovely person and exactly the kind of human who should be a veterinarian. Smart, gentle, and compassionate, she really "got" animals, and her care for her furry patients was top-notch because of that. She also gave countless hours of her time to assist animal welfare organizations. She is truly gone too soon.

I want to express my sympathy to Shannon's mother and partner. It is a testament to Shannon that although I didn't know her well she made a lasting impression on me, such that when I heard of her passing I was shocked and saddened. A kind and caring person who was truly doing what she was meant to do, she just didn't have nearly long enough to do it. Having lost my son in 2020, who was exactly Shannon's age, I understand your pain and my thoughts and prayers are with you as you experience this devastating time. Shannon will be missed by everyone who came to know her, no matter how briefly.

I am so saddened to hear of Shannon's passing. Shannon was a volunteer at our animal hospital while she was a student and though we didn't stay in touch I did run into her at a conference after she had graduated and there she was with a litter of kittens who needed care in tow. I just knew she would be that kind of a veterinarian because she was such a beautiful person. To Adam, Shannon's family, close friends, and her co-workers I send along my deepest sympathies.
