I noticed the Jukes name and wanted to send a note. I researched all of the WW I soldiers from the Stanley area (140 of them), and I included the 'first' Clifford Wilfred who is named on the war monument at Mactaquac, which you probably know. I used to live in the Cardigan/Woodlands area where the 2 Homechildren were placed when they arrived in 1902. My sympathy at the loss of your mother and grandmother. I thought you might like to know that Clifford and William Leonard Jukes have been remembered in our Stanley history on the WW I soldiers. If you have any info on them that you'd like to share, let me know. You've probably seen what the NB Archives has on file; the work that was done by the George Street students a few years ago.
