I met Cathy just last year, as part of a weekly gaming group that would sit-down to play D&D with Tom and a few friends. She was warm, light-hearted and welcoming, and I remember her for her broad and well-grounded sense of humour. I don't think we could go ten minutes in each other's company without sharing a laugh about some little thing or another. Her life seems to have been unjustifiably short - something that doesn't seem fair or reasonable upon reflection - but I am thankful to have shared her friendship, as short as that time was. Perhaps along a similar line of thinking, there's some solace in knowing how fortunate her family and loved ones were to have had her in their lives for so many years. She will be missed greatly.

Cathy was such a special person - huge heart, great sense of humour with a laugh that I will never forget, and she was so very smart. More than that, although there were many kilometres between us that last 14 years, she was one of my oldest and dearest friends. I loved her and will always remember her.

Ms Scott was my music teacher. She was an excellent teacher. I actually became a music teacher myself and I imagine that a degree of that was thanks to "Ms Scott" and the experiences I had in her music class. My deepest condolences to her loved ones. To the Scott and Henderson families, my deepest condolences. Cathy and I spent a number of years giggling together at Junior choir and Folk Group practices. Tom & family - meeting Cathy when she came to be our student minister at St. Paul's Presbyterian in Woodstock was a different experience for me. While I had always had a lot of respect for the clergy, Cathy was the first minister that I had that I felt like we would be friends outside of church. We had much in common, most notably band geeks who attended Mount A. I found myself thinking a more broadly about my spirituality, and growing in faith. I know my grief can't begin to compare to what you all are feeling, but know that Cathy made a huge impact on my life in the short time that I knew her. I only wish we'd had more time, I feel like I'd only scratched the surface. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Sending lots of love and prayers to the entire family. Cathy's family was number one to her as she shared many wonderful family stories, faith was a pretty close second as she also shared her love of god and her friends came next as she was welcoming to everyone and gave support to those who needed it. I am grateful to have worked with Cathy for most of my career. Take care in the days ahead and treasure the memories that she made with you.
